04/03/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/03/15 15:23 Snow Bunny is a white cat that was brought in as a stray. The counselor was able to pet and pick Snow up from her carrier and place her in another one with ease, but after that she became irritated and started hissing. The counselor attempted to collar her, but she inched back and hissed. In order to reduce stress, the counselor did not continue to try and scan, coller, and photograph Snow.

04/07/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Snow Bunny was brought to the shelter as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. She seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment she was displaying behaviors that prevent placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. Snow Bunny has tried to flee / bite and is extremely fearful. She currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: hisses, growls at me (3) When spoken quietly: hisses, growls at me (3) Reaction to door cage opening: become stiff, alert, continues to hiss (3) Reaction to touch: swats at me (4) Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of behavior, hisses swat. Placement Determination: NewHope
