05/29/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Snow was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. She seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment Snow was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She hisses and growls when attempted to touch. Snow is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: was hiding when I approach cage (3) When spoken quietly: continues to hide (3) Reaction to door cage opening: becomes stiff, alert (3) Reaction to touch: growls, hisses, strikes, does not allows petting at all (5) Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick the cat up, fractious behavior. Placement Determination: NewHope
