SMOKEY – A1048800
8-26-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 08/26/15*** SMOKEY IS JUST A BABY GIRL-3 months old and scared. She hisses…and then…and then…well, she she becomes ‘tolerant’ of petting and allows. This is a baby cat- a little kitten who is scared. Some baby food on your fingers, a little soft talk and some chin rubs and the purrs will start. But she won’t get that unless you offer to foster or adopt this little one-because her life will end tomorrow without your help. Help her-shes small, and won’t take up much room. She’d be an easy foster and tonight, really, she needs you to be her hero. Will you save baby SMOKEY?

08/25/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Smokey becomes stiff and alert upon approach. She focuses on the assessor when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Smokey hisses and retreats to the back of the cage. Reaction to touch: Smokey was very hesitant and squeezes into the corner. She flinches when first touched, but remains in place and is tolerant of petting. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Smokey tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
