GONE 04/11/15 – SLY – A1032133 – BROOKLYN, NY
SCARED AND SAD SLY NEEDS NEW LEASH ON LIFE! Sly is a three year old brown tabby who came into the shelter as a stray surrender back on 4/3 after he was found hiding in a car at a dealership on Staten Island. This scared kitty may have known love, once upon a time. He may have known nice food, a predictable routine, and a soft bed. Those days are long in the past. The recent days have been spent living rough, making it as best he can. Sly has been scooped up as a stray and may even have forgotten the good days, because the recent days have been so sad. Please don’t let this be the end of the line. Let’s work together to find happy days for this scared and sad boy tonight. If you can offer Sly safe haven, please contact a NH rescue for assistance with transportation. Won’t you please offer Sly a new leash on life?

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Sly came to the shelter as a stray on 4/3/15. Upon intake Sly was reported to be displaying very fearful and feral like behavior. Sly appeared to be very uncomfortable when the assessor approached his kennel, and tried to hide at the back of the cage. He became very stiff and alert when the kennel door was opened. He did not allow the assessor to touch him, and tried to bite when the touch was attempted. The behavior department feels that Sly would do best with a rescue agency that can provide positive behavior modification. Reaction to assessor: Continues to hide (was hiding when approached cage).
