07/26/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Simbasa was rolling around in his cage and was calm, relaxed, and friendly. He comes to the front, meows, and rubs his cheeks on the cage door when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Simbasa remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Simbasa head-butts vigorously and starts to purr. He head-butts and pushes all his weight onto the assessor’s hand. When the assessor stops petting him, he grabs the assessor’s hand with both paws and head-butts harder. Sometimes he nips and continues to head-butt to solicit attention. As per previous owner, Simbasa hasn’t been around children or dogs, but is playful and affectionate with the cats he lives with. The owner says he can get a bit rough. He is described as friendly, confident, somewhat independent, mellow, and quiet with a medium activity level. The owner’s favorite things about Simbasa are how loving and playful he is. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Simbasa solicits attention and tolerates petting but may be assertively demanding of attention or may play roughly. Due to his tendency to nip when asking for affection, we feel that this cat will do best in a home without children.
