I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 07/22/2015 from NY 11221, owner surrender reason stated was ABANDON.

07/27/15 14:02 cage exam: mouth appears normal externally no addtional tx Scan negative F; 1 YO; 7.36 LB At the time of the exam, the cat had been found with her collar stuck in her mouth, and was bleeding and in pain. It is unknown if her behavior was due to the pain and panic or if it is her standard behavior. Reaction to Assessor: Sillabub was calm and relaxed upon approach. She meows and starts to grumble when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Sillabub becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Sillabub hisses at the assessor’s hand and swats without nails. She retreats to the back of the cage and lip licks after. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Sillabub is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried to swat and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
