They are adorable, affectionate and a darling duo of precious pets who desperately need us to advocate for them tonight. They are being treated for URI’s and ocular discharge but with a round of meds and some TLC, will be just fine. Sonny and Shirley are a purrfect pair who would love to be your furever friends. They tolerate all petting and handling—they just want to be loved. Won’t you please open up your heart and home to these sweethearts? 11/23/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Shirley was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. The finder has been feeding him in their yard and says she is friendly and social. She was fearful upon intake, but she calmed down and started to enjoy the staff’s company and attention after some time. She was easy to handle during her initial medical exam. Please note that Shirley is being treated for an upper respiratory infection at the time of the behavior assessment. This condition may affect some of the behaviors shown during evaluation. Reaction to assessor: Shirley was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Shirley looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Shirley remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Shirley remains in place for petting and curls up. Reaction to pick up: Shirley becomes tense, but calmly jumps back into her cage. Placement Determination: Average Shirley interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
