SHENRON – A1041262
Safe 9-15-2015 Brooklyn
SAFE 9/15/15 Are you looking for a great cat but aren’t sure what kind you want? Shenron may be the perfect one for you! One the one hand, he’s a young adult (4 years old) with lots of energy who will talk and play for hours. He is social and curious around visitors and will stalk and attack his favorite mouse toys around my apartment like he’s channeling his jungle ancestors, flipping them around and catching them again in his teeth. He will have whole conversations-either with himself or with anyone else in the room-in his calm, steady meow. Shenron allows all handling (he’s a big boy but you can pick him up and cuddle him just like he’s a kitten!) and loves to be pet on his head and belly, and given a good brushing. Beware black pants-any leg on the vicinity will end up getting rubbed up against!
On the other hand, Shenron, a recent owner surrender, shows he is accustomed to a calm home life and has perfect food and litter box habits. As energetic as he can be at times, this kitty will fall into a nap so long and intense I’ve had to check his breathing! I occasionally work from home and have watched Shenron on his favorite perch near my work area barely move a muscle during an entire 8-hour workday, not even getting up to eat. At night he splits his time between his nocturnal cat activities and dozing snuggled up close to me.
His previous owner said Shenron is disinterested in children, and we haven’t seen him interact with other cats, but his disposition makes me think he’d be adaptable to a variety of situations (with a little bit of paw-holding). He is a great cat companion, neutered and ready to go!
