**SAFE 11/14/15** BLIND and suspected hypertension, SHEBA really does not need to to be sitting in the ACC! The 12 year old just lost her previous owner to death whom she had lived with just about her whole life. And the ACC’s only answer is to send out a SPECIAL PLEA for this sweet kitty, rather than do anything themselves! And her obvious response to being ripped from her home is fear and for that she is RESCUE ONLY! SHEBA needs to to contact a NEW HOPE RESCUE and offer this kitty a home! “There are none so blind, than those that cannot see”. Don’t turn a blind eye to SHEBA !

11/02/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
11/02/15 08:18 Sheba is a 12 year old female black and white domestic shorthair cat who is being surrendered because the owner passed away. Sheba has been with the family almost 12 years. Sheba lived with large family with seven children and 4 adults. There were also 4 other cats in the house cats. Sheba mostly keeps to herself and when the other cats would seek interactions she would flee but was not defensive. The same is true for family members. When visitors come to the home she will find a private place to stay until they leave. There are 2 litter boxes in the home, one is open and the other is closed and she uses them both. Each box has crystal litter in it. Sheba has not been bathed and the client does not know if she has had her nails trimmed. Sheba prefers not to be brushed or picked up. When placing inside a carrier Sheba will attempt to flee. Client states Sheba is blind and may run into things. Sheba had toys but client says she was indifferent to them and does not play with objects either. She had a vertical stratching post with both cardboard and rope. Sheba did not scratch furniture in the home. When the family is home Sheba likes to be in her own space. When home alone she is well behaved. Sheba eats both wet and dry food. Upon intake Sheba was very shy and not reeptive to introduction. Sheba woud not come forward from the carrier and was not handled. Counseor was able to photograph and scan (negative) but did not collar. Sheba allowed contacted from a cat glove with no defensive gestures but became very still and retreated to the back of the carrier.
