***GONE 12/13/15***BRING SUPER SWEET SEBASTIAN HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS AND FUREVER! A volunteer writes, “Tucked up in a far corner of Cat Castle–the big cat room in our Manhattan Center–reclines our Sebastian. This soft and sweet gentleman is a big treasure waiting to be found. He loves attention and will reward you with soft purrs and nuzzles, and a look of such love in his eyes. In the prime of life, he will make a perfect addition to many household situations, maybe yours?” Sebastian is a marvelous middle aged, neutered tabby who sadly lost his home due to “personal problems” but it sounds like he began to have litter box issues. However, instead of taking him for a check up, Sebastian’s former family decided to dump him at the kill happy shelter. Sebastian is deluxe sized (20 plus pounds) which means that there is more of him to love. He’s got a great behavior rating, is used to living with kids, cats and is a purrfect gentleman. Now that he has a couple of curable kitty sniffles, his precious life is in danger. Please reserve sweet Sebastian online or let a rescue know if you can help. Transportation is available. Email [email protected] for assistance. This is a highly adoptable pet who deserves the chance for a happy, new life. Help write a happy ending to this sad tale by making the call for sweet Sebastian NOW!!!!

Sebastian has no health problems and the owner has not taken them to a vet. Socialization: The owner states that around strangers Sebastian is friendly and outgoing. Sebastian has lived with 2 10 month old children he is gentle and loves to play with. Sebastian has lived with 2 other 10 year old cats, they get along with each other but don’t really play with together. He has never been around dogs so the owner has no idea how Sebastian would react around them. Sebastian has never bitten or scratched anyone. Behavior: Sebastian does not like to be bathed or having his nails trimmed. He does not mind having his coat brushed but struggles when being picked up or when being placed in a cat carrier. As of the last month and a half Sebastian has had multiple accidents (peeing) outside of the litter box. The owner has not taken Sebastian to the vet for this problem and has no idea why he is doing this. For a new family to know: The owner describes Sebastian as friendly and playful cat with a medium activity level. Sebastian has never played with cat nip and wand toys; he lives mostly indoors and sleeps anywhere in the house that he wants. In the home Sebastian will follow the owner around and prefers to stay in same room as the owner. Sebastian eats various brands of wet and dry cat food and is fed two times a day. He is litter box trained and uses an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. However as of late Sebastian has not been using the litter box all the time and may pee outside of the box. Sebastian has a scratching made of carpet that he likes to use. Behavior during intake: During intake Sebastian was clam with soft body, he allowed us to scan (-) put on collar, photographed and placed in cat kennel.
