SEAL – A1053364
Gone 10-18-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 10/18/15*** What a beautiful little cat! 1 year old SEAL was found as a stray and brought into the shelter with hopes he’d find a good home. But sadly, this petite guy is on today’s euthanasia list. SEAL is in good health and has a clean soft coat. He may have been someone’s pet at some point because he’s open to affection. He’s a little shy, though and wraps his tail around himself for comfort. He’s afraid in the shelter environment and would be great in an experienced cat home, where he could slowly warm up and build great cat-human bonds!! SEAL is a little tense, but he allows himself to be pet and picked up! He’s a sweetie who shows no aggression, and just wants a human he can trust! Beautiful SEAL with the big innocent eyes is at the beginning of his young life, and desperate for an owner and a home to call his own. Please open your hearts to SWEET SEAL TODAY!!

10/04/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Seal was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Seal lifts his head and looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Seal remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Seal was hesitant of touch and twitches during the beginning of the interaction, but starts to warm up slowly. He leans on the assessor’s hand and lifts his butt when pet on his lower back, but seems wary of the environment and will wrap his tail close to his body when interaction stops. Reaction to being picked up: Seal is a little tense, but allows handling. Behavior Determination: Experience Seal tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
