*SAFE 05/19/15- A staff member writes: Scat Cat has finally come out of his shell! After an initial period where he needed some time to warm up to a new place, he is out of his cubby and into his comfort zone. Scat Cat loves to rub his impossibly soft coat against the bars of the cage and the hands of all the shelter staff, and he isn’t afraid to speak up when he doesn’t feel he’s getting the attention he deserves! Come meet Scat Cat today, and he’ll show you his true, beautiful colors.

Notes: Scat Cat came into the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. At the time of the assessment, Scat Cat is displaying tense behavior. He allows handling but does not interact with the assessor. Scat Cat is exhibiting behavior suited for experienced cat parents who can help him adjust to a home environment and feel more comfortable.
