SAFE- 04/20/15 SWEET, SHY NEUTERED “STRAY” BOY HAS A KITTY COLD – DESPITE A “GOOD PROGNOSIS” AND A “GREAT APPETITE”, THE ACC WILL KILL HIM ANYWAY – PLEASE GRANT SCARLETT A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Handsome six-year-old brown tabby boy SCARLETT (yes, the heartless ACC gave him a FEMALE name) was tossed into the kill-happy ACC as a NEUTERED “STRAY”. Scarlett is ear-tipped, but he ALLOWED ALL HANDLING – this sweet, shy guy is NO FERAL, but probably a lost or abandoned pet kitty. Even in the scary shelter setting, Scarlett earned an excellent behavior rating of EXPERIENCE. Sadly, poor Scarlett caught the notorious ACC kitty cold, & despite having a “GOOD PROGNOSIS” for recovery and a “GREAT APPETITE” for wet food, the ACC will KILL HIM at noon tomorrow. Please be Scarlett’s rescue angel tonight! Start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt adorable tabby boy SCARLETT! If you can’t save SCARLETT yourself, please SHARE his sad story and PLEDGE for his rescue!

04/02/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Scarlett was brought to the shelter as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. Although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken quietly: ignores me completely (2) Reaction to door cage opening: retreats (3) Reaction to touch: moves away from me to avoid being touched (3) Reaction to toy or novel object: retreats (3) Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, Placement Determination: Experience
