SATCHEL – A1045908
8-5-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 08/05/15*** 14 week old SATCHEL really needs you tonight. She was brought in as a ‘stray’ and obviously is frightened-she allowed petting but was hissing-she is at the Staten Island ACC which is a small place and there are dogs close by and this little one may be fearful from all the noise. Kittens, even little fearful kittens, with kindness, petting, a little baby food off the tips of your fingers do very well-and SATCHEL really needs you tonight to help her get out of ACC alive-what do you say? She’s just a little girl, a small kitten in a big scary place looking to end her precious life. Don’t let that happen-save SATCHEL tonight!!!

08/03/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Satchel was calm and relaxed upon approach. She looks at the assessor and slowly closes her eyes when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Satchel hisses and becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Satchel hisses again and backs away from the assessor’s hand. She allows petting and remains immobile for touch, but lowers her head and starts to lip lick. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Satchel tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
