***SAFE 08/04/15*** PURRING COW-COLORED CUTIE, DUMPED DUE TO CAT CONFLICT, HAS A LOVING VOLUNTEER PLEA AND A NEAR-PERFECT BEHAVIOR RATING, BUT WILL DIE BECAUSE SHE SNEEZED – PLEASE GRANT SASSY A DEATH ROW PARDON!! Gorgeous black and white girl SASSY, six years young, was BETRAYED by her former owner, who dumped this sweet girl into the kill-happy ACC due to CAT CONFLICT. Sassy soon caught the eye of an ACC volunteer, who lovingly writes: “Sweet Sassy looks forlorn in her cage but don’t let that turn you away. She is friendly and sweet and just looking for a forever home to call her own. Gentle and quiet is her true nature yet she longs for companionship. Sassy is just waiting for that right family to come along. Be like Clint and “make her day”. Share that secret sunny window spot with Sassy on your lap.” At home, Sassy was PURRfect: “She is very affectionate and she likes to play peek-a- boo. Around the 10 year old child, Sassy was relaxed, affectionate, and respectful; when she played she was gentle. She can be described as playful, shy, mellow, friendly, affectionate, quiet, independent and only talkative when she wants food. She likes to play with balls, wand toys, catnip, laser pens and string.” But poor Sassy will DIE at noon tomorrow, an INNOCENT VICTIM of the notorious ACC kitty cold and a badly broken shelter system! Please don’t let them kill this dear girl! Start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt sweet black and white girl SASSY! If you can’t save SASSY yourself, please SHARE her sad story and PLEDGE for her rescue!

07/21/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/21/15 17:12 Basic Information: Sassy is estimated to be around 6 years old. She was surrendered because her previous owner’s other house cat did not get along with Sassy. The other cat would hiss and chase Sassy around the house. Her previous owner took Sassy in as a stray 6 weeks ago so she was not sure what her age was. The last time Sassy went to a vet was 7/2/15. The two things Sassy’s previous owner liked most about her was that she is very affectionate and she likes to play peek-a- boo. Social Life & Personality; Around the client’s 10 year old child Sassy was relaxed, affectionate, and respectful; and when she played she was gentle. Around other cats Sassy is fearful and doesn’t play. Sassy is litter box trained and was kept indoors only. Her activity level is medium. She can be described as playful, shy, mellow, friendly, fearful, affectionate, quiet independent and only talkative when she wants food. Behavior Issues: Sassy behavior is good. She enjoys having her coat brushed and being held. When she was put in her carrier she was fearful but showed no signs of aggression. If she is disturbed while sleeping she isn’t bothered. For a New Family to Know: Sassy uses crystal cat litter in an uncovered litter box. She likes to play with balls, wand toys, catnip, laser pens and string. The owner stated she did not have a scratching post so she would scratch her chair which was fabric material. When the owner was home sassy would tend to be in her favorite spot which was the closet, or her kitchen chair. With the owner Sassy would play gently. In the car ride over here Sassy was afraid but non aggressive, previous owner stated she would just look around a lot. Sassy eats wet and dry Friskies and Meow Mix. She liked to sleep anywhere in the house. Behavior during Intake: Sassy was quiet and relaxed. She went in her crate easily but was hesitant to come out, when she did she looked around and smelled her surroundings and layed flat on the table. She approached extended hand and allowed me to pet her and pick her up. Sassy showed no signs of aggression.
