SASHA – A1046141
8-5-2015 Brooklyn
*** GONE 08/05/15 *** SENIOR GIRL SASHA WAS DUMPED AS A STRAY – BUT IS SHE REALLY? We sometimes wonder how these 10 year old SPAYED cats end up as strays in the ACC. SASHA was brought in and was said to be a bit overweight but showed no signs of aggression and allowed handling. Yet when the assessor showed up with his fake hand, she was not receptive and hissed which gave her a NEW HOPE rating. SASHA is older so she will need a full eval by a competent vet but she certainly deserves a chance to live. Senior cats are great companions and as soon as she gets over her trauma, SASHA may end up being your new best friend! IF YOU CAN HELP SASHA CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HER TO SAFETY.

08/04/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Sasha was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. She seems to not be thriving in this environment. At the time of the assessment Sasha was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried to swat at the assessor. Sasha is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: becomes stiff, alert Reaction to touch: hisses, strikes, does not allows petting at all Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick up Sasha due to fractious behavior Placement Determination: NewHope
