SAFE 10/5/15 *POLYDACTYL Sweet Brown Tabby — SARAH – Has Been Here Since AUGUST! PLEASE PLACE TODAY!* A volunteer writes: Sarah is a really amazing girl. She will take a little time to greet you, but it will be worth the wait. She will enjoy your company and any attention you give her. But right now Sarah is sad, missing her old home. Come spend some time with her and see she really is a lovable girl. So don’t pass her by. She is very unique, since she is a Polydactyl Cat, so she has an extra toe on her paws, Sarah’s looks like a thumb giving her better balance. Some people believe Polydactyl cats are good luck, that’s why you may find them on ships. One of these cats had made it to the White House under Theodore Roosevelt, and Ernest Hemingway had one. Come check her out, for she really is an amazing cat.

Sarah lived with 4 adults and 2 teens. There were no other animals in the home. Sarah is an indoor cat who has never been exposed to dogs. When visitors come to the home owner reports her to be indifferent. Sarah has been exposed to small children and is said to be tolerant. Sarah is tolerant for a bath and has not had her nails trimmed. She enjoys being brushed and picked up. Sarah does not mind riding in a carrier.
Sarah likes to play swat and chase with little beads. She does not have a scratching post so Sarah scratches the walls and wooden furniture. When the family is home she likes to be where they are. Sarah eats dry food.
Upon intake Sarah was not handled due to a potential medical issue. Counselor was able to scan for microchip (positive) but did not collar or photograph.
