SANDY – A1052773
Gone 10-1-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 10/01/15*** One would hope that “personal problems” ARE NOT the pets that are surrendered! Understanding that some are real but some are NOT! And in the case of 8 year old SANDY and his litter mate, they both fall into this category. SANDY has already been NEUTERED but his only socialization besides the previous owner and his litter mate, was with a SHIH TZU – which he got along well with. But SANDY is not happy at the ACC, but one SHOULD understand that he lost his only home and buddy. Humans would hate that, why should an animal be any different? So he’s rated RESCUE ONLY and needs someone to contact a New Hope Rescue and offer to FOSTER or ADOPT and save SANDYS’ life! He doesn’t deserve this treatment and SHOULD NOT be punished just because he’s scared!

09/29/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Owner Profile: Sandy was bought into the care center due to the previous owner going through personal problems. The previous owner stated that Sandy didn’t have any interaction with children. Sandy lived with one other cat. He also lived with a small dog. They got along and often played with each other. Sandy was kept indoors only and have a medium activity level. Sandy is described as being playful, shy, needy, affectionate, friendly and talkative. Sandy is litter box trained. Notes: Sandy at the time of the assessment was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices he relaxed a little and I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. Although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: Sandy does not come to front and is watching assessor with wide eyes When spoken quietly: does not come to front and remains watching assessor with wide eyes Reaction to door cage opening: retreats Reaction to touch: body low and tense, nervous Try picking cat up: Did not attempt due to Sandy already being fearful Placement Determination: Experience
