SANDY – A1035796
5-14-2015 Brooklyn Rescue: ***SAFE*** Pulled by Feline Rescue of SI- Donation website: http://felinerescueofstatenisland.org/donation/ Please honor your pledges:
**SAFE 05/14/15** Sandy is a beautiful tortie who might be pregnant, and who is definitely not happy at the shelter. Because of her fears, she has acted a little grumpy at the shelter so tonight, she can only be pulled to safety by a New Hope rescue partner. The ACC is unsure about the cause of her swollen tummy—is she pregnant? Is she obese? This beautiful girl will be lost to us forever, tomorrow, unless a rescue group steps up for Sandy tonight.

05/12/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Sandy was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. She seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment she was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to door cage opening: becomes stiff, alert (3) Reaction to touch: hisses, strikes, does not allows petting at all (5) Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick the cat up, fractious behavior Placement Determination: NewHope
