SAMMIE – A1040403
7-31-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 07/31/15***SAMMIE SAYS: I’LL BE YOUR BEST FUREVER FRIEND! A volunteer writes, “The adorable Sammie called me over for petting the minute she saw me. She was ecstatic when her ploy worked, and reveled in the attention and cheek scratches the entire time. Indeed, when I tried to move on, she protested with the cutest little chirrups, saying “but we’re not finished here! There is more petting to be done!” She wears a gorgeous tuxedo coat (and at just 6 lbs she wears it in an extra small). With her infectious energy and feisty demeanor, this little girl is going to brighten up some lucky person’s home very soon!” Sammie is just two, sadly surrendered due to “personal problems” (including “shedding issues”—ugh, she’s a cat!) She aced her behavior eval with an awesome average rating and is a delightful little darling. Please reserve Sammie online or contact a NH rescue for help with transportation. Sammie has been at the shelter for more than a month and her luck seems to have finally run out. Let’s turn things around tonight. Make the call for Sammie and be THE SOMEBODY in “somebody do something!”

06/17/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
06/17/15 11:38 Basic Info: Sammie appears to be a 2 year old female cat. She was surrendered to the shelter because of scratching post and shedding issues. She has not had interactions with children, cats, or dogs so her behaviors are unknown. She is litter box trained using clumping litter and a hooded box. She has not bitten or scratched anyone or any animal before and has never been bathed, brushed, had her nails clipped, picked up, or placed into a carrier. She would scratch on furniture but was not given an alternative to use. She was fed both wet and dry food. Intake Behavior: Allowed all handling without aggression. When outside the carrier attempted to flee but did not try to swat, bite, hiss, etc. to get free. Was scanned (negative), collared, pictured, and held and when touched had stiff body. When placed into new carrier retreated to back and when given food would eat at front of carrier.
