(2) Reaction to door opening: Remains motionless. (2) Reaction to touch: Seems indifferent to my presence and touch. (2) Reaction to being picked up: Tolerant but tense. Notes: Salt came to the shelter without behavioral history in a home environment. At the time of the assessment, Salt is displaying fearful body language. She avoids interaction with the assessor but is tolerant of handling. Salt is exhibiting behavior suited for experienced cat parents who can allow her proper adjustment time in a new home.
