SAIRA – A1039435
6-21-2015 Manhattan
** GONE 06/21/15** SAIRA is a gentle 3-year-old lady who came to the ACC because her former owner passed away, and there had been no plans made for Saira. Understandably, Saira is unsure of herself at the shelter and just wants her loved person to hold her tight once more, but we all know that can never happen. Saira earned an EXPNOCHILD rating and needs a foster/adopter who is just a little more patient than a brand new cat parent might be, someone who will allow her the space to grieve before she turns her mind to loving her new people. Are you the person who can save Saira? Without your pledge, without your share, and without a quiet corner in your home, this very sweet girl will die at the ACC, tomorrow.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Saira looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Saira remains lying down on her cage bedding, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Saira accepts the stroke, but began to low growl and hiss with ears down at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience / no child Saira tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
