***SAFE 10/24/15*** MAKE RUSTY’S SECOND CHANCE COUNT!! SAD AND SCARED GINGERBREAD MAN NEEDS NEW FRIEND! Sometimes it seems like the people who hand out ratings at the ACC, know nothing about the animals they are evaluating. Know nothing about love, and loss, and the complicated way those things can tug on someone’s emotions. Rusty is a cat who knows far too much about love and loss, because this is a cat who was brought to the ACC after the passing of his former owner. This cat was given no time to grieve, but was instead whisked off to the ACC, pushed through a perplexing intake process, and then graded on a bunch of stuff he didn’t understand. Fair? No. Fatal? That’s up to you. Everyone knows gingerbread men are the sweetest and we think Rusty will be just fine—a purrfect companion—once he is given time to decompress from his ordeal. Please see through the bogus NH rating this cat was burdened with, and realize that this wee one is missing the comfortable routines and loving faces of home. Then don’t buy the hype—save this cat tonight! Help ensure that Rusty lives. Make the call for this sad and scared gingerbread man NOW!!!

He was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. Rusty is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
