08/03/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
08/03/15 20:16 Rourke A1046561 is an est. 2yr old unknown gender at the moment black & white DSH feline whom was found in his/her home when his/her owner passed away along with Bosko A1046554. No one was able to keep either cat so they were brought into our BXAC. A friend of the deceased placed them into carriers. During intake Rourke was very quiet and appeared as if he/she were in shock. He/she had very dilated pupils and walked out of the carrier into our kennel with ease. He/she allowed us to scan (-), collar her/him. We took her/his picture in the kennel to minimize his/her stress as much we can. He/she allowed us to pick her/him up and place her/him into a new carrier for transport. Rourke appears to have an injury to a nail on his/her right hind leg.

08/07/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Rouke looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Rouke remains resting lying down on her cage bedding. Reaction to touch: Rouke avoids contact, hisses, and swats at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Rourke is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
