RIVER – A1052389
Gone 9-28-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 09/28/15*** RIVER IS PERFECTLY HEALTHY BUT WILL DIE BECAUSE SHE IS AFRAID!! Yes folks the ACC claims to never kill a healthy animal but here it is again – the loophole – RIVER who was brought in as a stray and is totally healthy, happens to not like being caged at the ACC and is afraid, so they slapped her with an EXPNOCHILD rating and fast tracked her to the euth list. RIVER is only a year and a half old, hardly out of kittenhood! She was hiding in her cage and tried to flee when the assessor came. But can you blame her? RIVER may be a lost pet but we will never know that. What we do know is that if someone doesn’t give this poor girl a chance by offering to foster or adopt, RIVER will be no more on Monday afternoon. CAN SOMEONE HELP RIVER HAVE SOME TIME TO DECOMPRESS AND ADJUST TO A HOME? SO MANY TIMES WE SEE CATS WHO ARE AFRAID DO AN ABOUT FACE ONCE THEY KNOW THEY ARE SAFE. GIVE RIVER A DEATH ROW PARDON TONIGHT!

09/25/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: River was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: attempts to hide upon my approach When spoken quietly: continues to hide Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless Reaction to touch: moves away from me, tries to flee cage Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, very afraid, tries to flee. Placement Determination: Experience no child
