Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Ringo came to us as a stray on 4/17/15, so we don’t have any previous behavior information then what we are seeing in the shelter. Upon intake it was reported that Ringo was reactive and did not allow any handling. He could be seen hiding at the back of the kennel in his litter box when approached. When attempting to touch and pet Ringo softly, Ringo charges at the assessor and swats. The behavior department believes that placement with a rescue is best. Reaction to assessor: continues to hide (was hiding when you approached cage) (3) When spoken to quietly: continues to hide (3) Reaction to cage door opening: becomes stiff, alert, tail flicks (3) Reaction to touch: charges at you, and swats (5)
