***GONE 11/03/15***SUPER SWEET BUT STRESSED TERRIFIC TABBY NEEDS YOU—BE REMY’S HERO! A volunteer writes, “Remy seems a little confused as to how he got to this big new place; coming from a quiet home into a shelter is a lot for any kitty to deal with! He looks out of his cat house up at me and seems to ask if I will be the one to give him the home he wants so badly. Remy is more independent and happy than he seems at first, he just needs some TLC and time so that his real personality comes through. He outwardly is stressed in this new temporary home, but secretly really loves attention. With a little time to warm up to his forever home, Remy will be a welcome addition to any growing family. ” Remy was sadly surrendered to the BS “no time” excuse. This great guy is calm, gentle—just very frightened and who can blame him? Remy is so stressed that he is having trouble passing urine. He needs a loving new home and to feel safe—def not a lethal injection. Please be this super sweet but stressed boy’s hero by reserving him online. Or let a rescue know if you can help. Transportation is available. Help write a happy ending to Remy’s terrible tale. Make the call for this terrific tabby NOW!!!

11/01/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Remy becomes stiff and alert upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Remy focuses on the assessor, but starts to blink slowly and puts his head down on his bedding. Reaction to cage door opening: Remy remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Remy was hesitant of touch, but slowly sticks his nose out to sniff the assessor’s hand. He remains in place for all petting, but blinks, lip licks, and breathes rapidly. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Remy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
