REMY – A1053257
Safe 10-9-2015 Brooklyn Rescue: Staten Island Hope Please honor your pledges: http://www.statenislandhoperescue.org/
***SAFE 10/09/15*** REMY is just a baby living in a nightmare also known as the ACC! The 7 month old kitten was calm during intake and allowed petting and attention but the assessor’s feel she would be intimidated by small children so has given REMY an EXPNOCHILD rating. Just take a chance on her. Give her time to settle in and see how sweet she becomes! Offer to FOSTER or ADOPT her and let her blossom before your eyes!

10/05/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Remy was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She was calm and well behaved throughout the intake process. She allowed handling with minimal effort and did not display any negative behaviors. She was very tense and shy during her initial medical exam, but still allowed handling. Reaction to Assessor: Remy does not come to the front, but remains calm and relaxed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Remy looks at the assessor and blinks. Reaction to cage door opening: Remy remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Remy was hesitant of touch, but remains in place for all petting. She lip licks, closes her eyes, and starts shaking. Reaction to being picked up: Remy remains soft and allows handling. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Remy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
