REESE – A1048213

8-27-2015 Manhattan

Previous | Next

***GONE 08/27/15***REESE is a pretty little girl-cat with a pink nose and big soulful eyes. She was brought into the shelter with another cat after their owner passed away. Now poor REESE is on the euthanasia list, if no one comes to foster her. She is understandably afraid and doesn’t want to be pet by the strangers who are examining her. She can be rescued through New Hope only. Now has she not only lost her pet parent, her cat friend and her home, she might lose her life too. Please give sweet REESE a chance at a new life! She can have a wonderful happy ending, but she needs your help!!

Reese is a black and white female cat who appears healthy but and will undergo a full physical health exam. Reese was nervous and hissed when an attempt was made to transfer her into a new carrier and place a collar around her neck. Reese eventually allowed herself to be transferred into a new carrier and also allowed herself to be photographed inside of her carrier. Reese was aloof and did not interact with people during the Intake process.

08/21/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Reese looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Reese remains crouched down at the back of his cage, alert with pupils fully dilated. Reaction to touch: Reese does not allow the stroke, hisses, and swats at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Reese is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
