*SAFE 4/22/15* TERRIFIC TORTIE NEEDS NEW FRIEND Rascal is a sweet, petite and purrfectly healthy little lady who finds her precious life in peril tonight. She got a clean bill of health this morning yet she is at risk tonight. Ugh! Rascal was a “stray” surrender on 4/6 after she had allegedly been hanging around her finder’s building for a while. In fact, she scanned positive—which means she was once someone’s beloved pet. Whether she lost her way or was deliberately dumped won’t matter when tomorrow afternoon rolls around—she will become another sad ACC stat unless we do everything we can to save her. Rascal is friendly, affectionate and tolerates all petting and handling. If you can open your heart and home to this great girl, please reserve her online or contact a NH rescue for help with transportation. Be THE somebody in “somebody do something.” Won’t you be this terrific tortie’s rescue angel?

04/09/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Rascal was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying conflicted behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor but will hiss when overwhelmed , allows some petting for short periods of time. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, is calm, relaxed and friendly When spoken quietly: comes to the front of cage, soliciting, rubbing against front Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: allows petting for limited time before becoming overwhelmed Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling Placement Determination: Experience
