Notes: Rafia was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Rafia is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues soliciting attention Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention, purrs Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling, remains relaxed, soft body Placement Determination: Beginner
