R2D2 – A1039473

6-13-2015 Brooklyn

Previous | Next

*GONE 06/13/15** R2D2 is a FIV+ lactating mama who was brought to the ACC with no kittens, just a few short days ago. She must be terribly worried about her babies, even as she worries about her own safety. The ACC have given her a cramped little cell to stew in, they gave her an EXPNOCHILD rating, and then they decided she should die tomorrow. R2D2 is only a kitten herself, at 12 months of age, and she should be given the chance to lead a long, normal life. Won’t you give her than chance, by advocating widely for her tonight?

06/12/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: R2D2 was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children. Reaction to assessor: Remains neutral When spoken quietly: Remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: retreats Reaction to touch: moves away from me Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, very afraid, hisses. Placement Determination: Experience no child
