*** GONE 09/24/15 *** PUMA IS AN INDEPENDENT SENIOR LASS WHO FINDS HERSELF BACK AT THE ACC…..PUMA is a SPAYED 14 year old who her former owner said attacked people yet at the stress filled ACC, she has a lovely AVERAGE rating!! Makes one wonder…. PUMA is in need of rescue tonight and would love to find a home where she continue to follow her new owner around and also have some quiet time to herself when she needs it….PLEASE GIVE PUMA A LOOK TONIGHT AND SEE IF SHE WILL BE THE PURRFECT FIT FOR YOU!! 08/17/15 20:28 Puma is a 14 yrs. old female cat who has been surrendered at ACC today. Puma appears to be healthy but will undergo a full physical health exam. Puma is described as being smart and independent. Puma is not well socialized with cats dogs or children. When she is around any of them she will be aloof and can sometimes become aggressive scratching or hissing at them. She has not scratched anyone in the last ten days. She is litter trained and is an indoor cat. She is described as having a medium level of activity. Puma is described as being confident assertive fearful aloof and independent. Puma will struggle when she is given a bath having her nails trimmed being picked up and held or being placed inside a carrier. She is not bothered when she is having her fur brushed or when she is disturbed from her sleep. She uses clay litter in a closed litter box. She will engage in chasing games but does not play with toys. She eats wet and dry food twice a day. Puma will stay in the same room as her owner and will sometimes stay hidden. She will hide under furniture and is described as being somewhat rough at this time. Puma has shown rough behavior as she will hiss and scratch people for no apparent reason. During the Intake process Puma was aloof but became difficult when an attempt was made to transfer her into a new carrier. She hissed and growled and would not allow herself to be collared or photographed.
