08/30/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Prometheus was stress meowing by the front of the cage. He meows loudly when softly spoken to, and stops momentarily to sniff the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Prometheus attempts to walk out and explore. Reaction to touch: Prometheus sniffs the assessor’s hand and was hesitant of touch, but remains in place and allows brief petting. After a little bit, he starts to grumble and pats the assessor’s hand gently. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Prometheus tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
