06/01/15 20:52 Basic Information: Prince is 6 year old male cat with no health problems. Prince was surrendered by his previous owner because of allergies and a new baby. Prince was originally found on the street by his previous owners. Social Life and Personality: Prince has been around children ages 7 to 17 and is very relaxed and affectionate toward them. Prince will play gently with younger children and excitedly with older children. Around other cats Prince is very relaxed and likes to play excitedly with them and tends to rough house with other cats. Prince has only been around one other small dog and liked to play with that dog. Prince is litter box trained and has only been kept indoors. Prince’s activity level is medium but “can get very lazy when he eats too much”. Prince’s previous owner describes him as Playful, Friendly, Mellow, Assertive, Fearful, Silly, Talkative, Affectionate, Quiet, and Independent. Behavior issues: Prince will hide when there are too many people around. Prince was never given a bath and does not like when others trim his nails, brushes his coat or picks up and holds him. During these events he will struggle and try to get away. Prince is not bothered by anyone disturbing his sleep or putting him a carrier. For a New Family To Know: Prince uses clumping litter in an uncovered litter box. Prince likes to play with balls, wand toys, and string. He uses an arch shaped scratching post made of rope. When at home Prince will follow you around or will stay in his favorite spot. Prince will play excitedly with his owners. During car rides Prince will meow and cry for the first 15mins then stop. Prince likes Dry food and will eat any cat treat. Prince sleeps in his own cat bed. Intake Behavior: Prince was nervous during his intake but allowed staff to collar, scan and take pictures of him. Prince had difficulties coming out of the carrier.

Prince played with a small dog. Also, describes him as playful, friendly, mellow, assertive, fearful, silly, talkative, affectionate, quiet, and independent. Reaction to assessor: Prince immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction to door opening: Prince remains at the front of the cage, soft and relaxed, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Prince rubs on the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He allows the pickup and remains immobile. Placement determination: Beginner Prince interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
