She was fearful at first during assessment but when touched,she warmed up quickly. PRADA even enjoyed being held! But what baby doesn’t? I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 10/04/2015 from NY 10312, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

10/04/15 11:47 Profile wasn’t left due to animal being stray. Behavior During Intake: Prada was brought into the facility in a trap by the finder. Upon arrival Prada appeared to be afraid and was thrashing around the trap. When I reached in to try and pet Prade he hissed and tried to flee from the trap. Due to this behavior I wasn’t able to handle Prada during the time of intake.

Prada came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Prada was fearful, hissing and attempting to flee. Reaction to assessor: Prada does not approach the front of the cage, but appears neutral in the back. Reaction when softly spoken to: Prada looks at the assessor but does not move. Reaction to cage door opening: Prada is lying low at the back of the cage. Reaction to touch: Prada sniffs assessor and warms up quickly to petting and attention, begins purring and rubbing head against hands. Reaction to pick up: Prada is calm and relaxed during this type of handling. Placement Determination: Average Prada does not approach the assessor, but appreciates petting and seems to enjoy being held. She is exhibiting behavior suited to average cat parents.
