POND – A1052390
Gone 9-27-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 09/27/15*** PAULIE AND POND ARE TWO FRIGHTENED KITTIES WHO CAME IN TO THE SHELTER AS STRAYS- THEY ARE NOT SICK, YET THE ACC IS PLANNING TO KILL THEM ANYWAY! PAULIE is about 2 yrs old and POND is about 5 yrs old. Both of these cats were dumped as strays – so they say. Needless to say, they are afraid in the shelter and received an EXPNOCHILD rating, although they are still on the public adoption site. Both cats need a miracle tonight to live past their designated NOON deadline on Sunday when the ACC has decided their lives must end for no reason at all. CAN YOU FOSTER OR ADOPT THESE TWO GIRLS TONIGHT? THEY WILL SETTLE DOWN ONCE THEY KNOW THEY ARE SAFE IN A HOME. GIVE THEM A CHANCE AND YOU WILL HAVE A PAIR OF WONDERFUL KITTIES! CONTACT A RESCUE NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!!

09/25/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Pond was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless Reaction to touch: seems indifferent to my presence and touch Try picking cat up: Pond is tolerant of this type of handling for a limited time before attempting to flee Placement Determination: Experience no child
