POLAR BEAR is here supposedly because of cost but note that the owner says that his other cat does not get along with POLAR BEAR who has only been there for two months…..POLAR BEAR IS A SUPER FRIENDLY GUY WHO WILL BE A GREAT FAMILY MEMBER!! 07/01/15 16:37 Basic Information Polar bear is being surrendered because the owner owns another cat and cannot afford the cost. He has been with the owner for amonth. Socialization Around strangers, Polar bear is shy but friendly. Polar bear plays gently with children and adults. He has another cat in the home which does not get along with Polar bear. He has not been around dogs. He has not bitten anyone or any another animal. Behavior Polar bear has no litter box problems and does not scratch furniture. He has not been given a bath or had his nails trimmed. He likes to be carried and does not mind being put inside of a carrier. The owner describes him as friendly, affectionate and playful. He has a medium activity level. He was being fed dry cat food. He has been mostly kept indoors and sleeps anywhere in the home. Behavior during intake Polar bear was very friendly and allowed all handlig (scanning, collaring, and photographs). He retreated in the kennel but did not resist handling. He tolerated petting and to be carried.

Reaction to assessor: Polar Bear was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. When softly spoken to, he stretches and attempts to sniff the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Polar Bear remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Polar Bear was a bit hesitant of touch, but allows petting on his head and back. Reaction to being picked up: Polar Bear remains calm and allows handling. As per previous owner, Polar Bear is shy but friendly around strangers. He plays gently with children and adults. Polar Bear likes to be carried and does not mind being put inside of a carrier. The owner describes him as friendly, affectionate and playful, with a medium activity level. Behavior Determination: Average Polar Bear interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
