***SAFE 04/20/15*** NEUTERED YOUNG TABBY “STRAY” IS PERFECTLY HEALTHY WITH A GOOD BEHAVIOR RATING, BUT THE ACC WILL KILL HIM ANYWAY – PLEASE GRANT POE A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Handsome two-year-old black tabby and white boy POE entered the kill-happy ACC as a NEUTERED “STRAY”, weighing over 11 lbs., which tells us that this gorgeous gent is NO STRAY, but a lost or abandoned pet kitty. Despite his fear, Poe earned a nice EXPNOCHILD behavior rating. But the ACC will KILL poor Poe at noon tomorrow, despite the fact that Poe is PERFECTLY HEALTHY! Please start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt betrayed tabby boy POE! If you can’t save POE yourself, please SHARE his sad story and PLEDGE for his rescue!

04/17/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Does not come to the front but looks at you, meowing. (2) When spoken quietly: Comes to the front, rubbing, meowing. (1) Reaction to door cage opening: Becomes stiff and alert. (3) Reaction to touch: Hisses, swats at me. (4) Try picking cat up: Did not attempt, fractious behavior. Notes: Poe came into the shelter, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. At the time of the assessment, Poe is displaying concerning behavior. Though he meows and approaches the assessor, he does not tolerate handling and became fractious. Poe is exhibiting behavior suited for experienced cat parents with no children who can allow Poe time to adjust to a new living situation.
