07/06/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Pisces does not come to the front, but remains neutral inside her cage. She is crouched over at the back, looking at me. When softly spoken to, she becomes stiff and her eyes wander around avoiding eye contact. Reaction to cage door opening: Pisces becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Pisces becomes very tense; she sniffs hand but jumps away. She tries to avoid touch and attempts to flee from the cage. Behavior Determination: NH ONLY Pisces is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
