I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 08/14/2015 from NY 11212, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-027296.

08/14/15 17:21 Pinto is a 10 month old black and white shorthair cat who arrived as a stray surrender. Upon intake Pinto was not handled. Counselor was able to scan for microchip (negative) and photograph but did not collar.

Notes: Pinto was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Pinto is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage, soliciting, rubbing against the cage front, rooling over When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues soliciting attention Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention, very affectionate Try picking cat up: Pinto remains calm while being handled Placement Determination: Beginner
