PEPE – A1039552
6-14-2015 Manhattan
**GONE 06/14/15** What’s a nice group of outdoor cats doing in a dump like the ACC? Unfortunately, they are waiting to be killed tomorrow. Meet PEPA, RUSTY, PEPE and CREAM PUFF, a quartet of very nice (if somewhat nervous) outdoor cats who were “relaxed and affectionate” with each other over a period of many years. The female cats are PEPA and CREAM PUFF, the male cats are RUSTY and PEPE, and this entire crew has EXPNOCHILD ratings. These cats have been fed by the same person and allowed her to pet them, but now she is moving somewhere and didn’t want to either take these cats with her, or leave them behind. There must be someone within a few hours of NYC who has a soft spot for independent feline friends! Please advocate widely for PEPA, RUSTY, PEPE and CREAM PUFF, tonight!

06/13/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Pepe looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Pepe remains crouched down on his cage bedding, alert with a blank stare. Reaction to touch: Pepe accepts the stroke, but ears go down to the side during the touch and remains stiff in place. Placement determination: Experience / no child Pepe tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
