***SAFE 09/06/15*** PENNE HAS BEEN AT THE SHELTER SINCE MAY AND HAS GREAT NEW VOLUNTEER COMMENTS!! PENNE is a 3 year old tortie girl who has curled ears from aural hematomas. However this just adds to her cuteness! PENNE must have been someone’s pet because she is already spayed. This girl was super friendly and relaxed on intake, and affectionate on previous behavior evals but sadly this last one for some reason was pushing her a bit so they slapped her with an EXPERIENCE rating. We all know that is wrong – even the staff loved this girl. “A volunteer writes: Penne has been a long time resident and she is so hoping for a forever home. Penne is a unique tortie with ears resembling those of a Scottish Fold. Since she’s been here a while, Penne would love to intersct more and receive love and attention, especially from you. She is so appreciative of being petted on her head and body, that in turn, she will purr for you. If you are an experienced cat parent with lots of love in your heart and patience to spare, Penne would show how grateful she is by loving you in return.” SHE IS A BIG BUNDLE OF LOVE WHO ONLY WANTS SOMEONE TO SHARE THAT WITH. Do NOT allow her to die at the shelter tomorrow after being there since MAY! Find SOMEONE to save PENNE, tonight!

Meet Penne minus the vodka. She is sweet as only a tortie can be. A sweet soul just biding her time till the right family comes along. She is choosy and wants to be part of the best family. Will that be you? Very friendly and quiet in her own way, she makes a truly loyal companion.
08/29/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Does not come to the front but remains neutral. (2) Reaction to being spoken to quietly: Does not come up but remains neutral. (2) Reaction to cage door opening: Looks at assessor, soft body. (1) Reaction to touch: Allows petting, seems indifferent. (2) Reaction to being picked up: Not tolerant, attempts to bite. Swats at hand when petting is attempted again. Notes: Penne came to the shelter as a stray, and has been in the shelter for a few months now. She has been friendly and affectionate during previous behavior evaluations. At the time of the assessment, Penne is allowing some petting, but becomes stressed with extended handling, and is likely stressed due to her length of stay. Penne is exhibiting behavior suited to experienced cat parents with no children who can allow her time to properly adjust to a new home and family.
