03/28/15 14:26 Penelope is a 6 year old dilute torte was was found as a kitten outside. She is beign surrendered because of teh conflict between her and the other 4 cats in her home. The owner states that Penelope would chase and hiss at the other 4 cats. It is uncertain why this problem started . Intake Behavior: Penelope was slightly tense during intake. She allowed handling but did not want to come out of the carrier. When takign out of teh carreir she hissed. She walked into the carrier without a problem after the photos and started to relax.

Please take note: Penelope’s former owner stated she is being surrendered because of the pet conflict between her and 4 other cats in her home. The former owner states that Penelope may agress and hiss at the other 4 cats. Reaction to assessor: Penelope looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Penelope remains lying down in a relaxed position, immobile in place. Reaction to touch: Penelope stands with tail up, purrs in place, and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: She calmly jumped back into her cage. Placement determination: Average Penelope interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
