This great girl was sadly surrendered back on 9/8 due to the BS “no time” excuse. She was brought to the shelter with her three kittens (status unknown). Everything about this lovely lady screams purrfect pet. She gets along with kids, is talkative, gentle, loving and leans in and rubs on people’s legs. BASIC INFORMATION Pear is a female Torbie that is 3 year old. Pear was rescued in the street when she was just 1 year old. Owner is surrendering Pear due to his illness and has no time to care for the cat. She was surrendered with a litter of 3 kittens A1050673, A1050674, A1050675. Pear and her kittens have no known illness. SOCIALATION Pear enjoys being pet by strangers. She allows being picked up and gently stroked by children. She is very gentle around children and will seek attention. Around family member she seeks attention and is talkative. She leans in and rubs on people legs. Pear is very territorial and becomes tense around other animals. She hisses and attacks other cats that come in the backyard. In the pass Pear has swat other dogs in the neighbor. BEHAVIOR Pear is an indoor and outdoor cat. Since she is not altered she tends to run always from owner when she is in heat. She has never received a bath, nails trimmed, or had her coat brushed by owner. However she allows to be restrained and is not bothered when woke up. Pear however need a litter box that has sand to start off in a new home. Then gradually move to using any store brand litter. She has never had an accident in the home. But her litter box must be cleaned daily or else she won’t us it. Pear is wary of cat and dogs. She becomes tense and reactive. When feeling threaten she hisses and swats at other animals. FOR NEW FAMILIES TO KNOW Pear is described as affectionate, friendly and independent. She likes to go about on her own adventures in the neighborhood. At time she is picky with her food. She enjoys unlimited 9 lives turkey dry or wet food. She does not like any chicken flavor cat food. Pear is also known as “good girl” and she comes to her name. Throughout most of the day she enjoys lounging in the house or roaming the backyard. She seeks attention from the children next door and allows being pet. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Pear’s body was soft and relaxed during intake. She walked walk of her carrier and allowed to be held by counselor. She stood still to be photographed, collar and scanned. She enjoys the soft food offered. She allows having her kittens picked up. When placed in her cage she meowed for attention. Pear was very friendly throughout the intake.

Pear is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner.
