06/05/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
06/05/15 19:31 These cats were surrendered as strays because the owner left them with a friend (the rescuer) 3 days ago and went to Puerto Rico. She will not be coming back. The man that brought them in had no information about them because he had only kept them in a room for the last 3 days with very limited interaction. He did not have a phone numebr for the original own to be reached in Peurto Rico. During intake this cat was hard bodied and did not want to come out of the carrier. When I did put her out, she began to hiss. I approched and the cat ran back into the carrier. I did not collar or photograph this cat.

06/09/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Pear looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Pear remains crouched down at the back, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Pear stands up in place then began to retreat, hiss, and strike at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Pear is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
