**SAFE 07/07/15*** RARE SECOND CHANCE FOR NEW MAMA CAT – PLEASE MAKE IT COUNT!!! PREGNANT PEACHES WAS DUMPED IN THE ACC A FEW DAYS AGO AND HAS SINCE GIVEN BIRTH TO KITTENS – NOW THE ACC WILL KILL HER TOMORROW ALONG WITH HER BABIES!!! two-year-old ebony princess PEACHES was a house pet and her elderly owner could no longer care for her and was concerned that she was pregnant. So a family member brought PEACHES to the ACC where she was calm and relaxed at intake. PEACHES has only been here a few days and GAVE BIRTH TO KITTENS – we don’t know how many yet but after realizing she was abandoned and had all these people poking at her, she has become very protective of her kittens. So the ACC PUNISHED her with a NEW HOPE RATING and fast-tracked her to the noon kill list for tomorrow. How do you kill a mother of day-old kittens? I guess they plan on killing off the babies too, because who will nurse them after they kill Peaches? THIS IS SO UNFAIR, AS PEACHES WAS CALM AND FRIENDLY UNTIL SHE HAD HER BABIES AND WAS DUMPED IN THIS SCARY PLACE. SHE KNOWS THAT THIS IS NOT A SAFE PLACE AND IS PROTECTING HER BABIES. CAN SOMEONE OUT THERE FOSTER THIS POOR SCARED MAMA CAT?? SHE WILL WARM UP ONCE SHE IS OUT OF THE SHELTER. CONTACT A NEW HOPE RESCUE TO PULL HER TO SAFETY NOW!!

They say that peaches is pregnant and they will not be able to care for her or the kittens. I spoke to the mother and confirmed that she gave permission for her son to bring her in for her. Reaction to touch: Peaches does not allow touch; she charges and swats at the assessor’s hand, and then continues to hiss and growl. Behavior Determination: NH ONLY Peaches is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home.
