Reaction to assessor: Peaches looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Peaches remains crouched down, turned sideways at the back of the cage, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Peaches avoids contact, panics in place, and attempts to escape her cage. Placement determination: NH ONLY Peaches is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
