PATTIE CAKE – A1036879
6-2-2015 Brooklyn Rescue: ***SAFE*** Pulled by Happy Homes- Donation website: http://www.happyhomesinc.org/ Please honor your pledges:
**SAFE 06/02/15** PATTIE CAKE is a stunning tri-color kitten who is only 6 months old, she is friendly, and yet the ACC couldn’t even manage to get her adopted. Pattie Cake should have her entire life in front of her, but because someone scooped her up and brought her to the shelter as a stray, she is facing death tomorrow. There is NO reason this delightful girl should die on the taxpayer’s dime tomorrow, but that is exactly what will happen shortly after noon, unless a foster/adopter steps up for Pattie Cake, tonight!

05/21/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Pattie Cake was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. Initially Pattie Cake solicits petting and attention, but after a few soft passes over the body she begins to growl at the assessor. This may be a sign of petting-induced aggression, where repeated physical contact results in discomfort for the cat, or it may be a sign of overstimulation. As a result of this observed behavior we recommend adopters who are familiar with signs of behavioral arousal and agitation in cats, so that interactions can be ended before Pattie Cakes becomes reactive. Treats should be used to reward appropriate responses to physical attention. Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage, soliciting, rubbing against the cage front (1) When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues soliciting attention (1) Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed (1) Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention for a limited time before growling etc Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling for a limited time Placement Determination: Experience
