PASTELE – A1048296
Safe 9-4-2015 Manhattan Rescue: HVARS Please honor your pledges: http://www.hvars.org/
***SAFE 09/04/15*** PASTELE LANDED IN THE ACC WHEN HER OWNER GOT EVICTED – NOW SHE HAS A COLD AND WILL DIE FOR IT! PASTELE is a very stunning cat. She is only 5 years old and already spayed. This beauty queen caught the eye of the staff quickly. A volunteer writes: Full disclosure first; I absolutely can’t resist a grumpy cat face. You think they are going to be mean or rejecting, and then, when they welcome your petting and sweet words, you feel like the most special person in the world. Pastele is a total beauty with long wispy black and white hair and a modern-art splotch of black running down her nose. She gives you her paw like a dog does, and she’s so happy with the connection that she doesn’t want to give you back your hand. Unfortunately, her previous owner let her get matted; fortunately for her new family, she was as patient as a saint while I groomed her. Love her, love her, love her. PASTELE got an EXPERIENCE rating due to being nervous in the scary shelter but this sweetie is just waiting for someone to take her home and make her feel like a queen. CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL PASTELE TO SAFETY.

08/22/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Pastele looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Pastele remains sitting upright on her cage bedding, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Pastele accepts the stroke, stands with tail up, and began to head-butts the assessor’s hand. However, after a few strokes she starts to low growl in place while she solicits attention. Placement determination: Experience Pastele tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
